I'd start with the basics.. do a full PM, check and clean everything, connectors (CAS, MAS, PTU, TPS, injectors...), filters, plugs... blah, blah... run some ecu diagnostics to rule out any issues there.(best with software as that will show a lot more.. i.e. values) check timing with a timing light. do a full vac / boost leak test. check that the ecu temp sender unit is working OK. see where that puts you...
